“apresentar cópias do passaporte ou documento de identificação, e ENTREGAR duas fotos.” — both are translated as “submit” — are there differences in use?
Present (apresentar) and Deliver (entregar) – in this particular context – may both mean Submit (submeter).
“Se não FOR indelicadeza”
I am not sure about the word “for”. I would probably use “para” instead.
Olá! “For” is a verb form of the verb ‘ser’ (to be), in the future subjunctive tense. Note that the verb ‘to be’ is also present in the English translation:
– Se não for indelicadeza… = If it IS not rude…
Could marcar also have been used instead of agendar without changing the meaning?
That’s a good question…
I’d say that, since she’s mentioning a “pedido” (request), “agendar” would be more appropriate. It would be technically correct and somewhat understandable, though. I just think that, in this sentence, “agendar” makes it more clear.
If she was to say “consulta” (appointment), for example, instead of “pedido” both “marcar” or “agendar” would be perfectly interchangeable.
O que significa de‘caramba’?
“Caramba” é uma interjeição que exprime espanto ou impaciência e irritação. Por ser uma interjeição, geralmente é acompanhada de um ponto de exclamação: Caramba! Em inglês será algo como “Damn!”.
