Sintra is known for its palaces, legends, and winding paths. If you need a reason to visit Lisbon, then Sintra is the only reason you need.

    Is “conventuais” used for “monastic” sweets? I couldn’t find a different translation, so I researched the history of these pastries and it appears that they were the invention of a baker in Sintra 150 years ago.

    I was thrown off by this sentence structure:
    “Palácio esse que ainda está em …, sendo possível até ver o mobiliário original.”
    I’ve never seen “esse” after the word like this. I wonder if this simply means:
    “Nesse palácio, que ainda está em …, é possível até ver o mobiliário original.”

  • Visitei Sintra este verão quando estava a estudar português em Lisboa. É incrível! Vou voltar o próximo ano com o meu marido.
