Mãe: Vá, vai chamar o teu pai para ele te ajudar com as compras, enquanto eu fico a limpar a casa.
{{Mother: Go on, go call your father to help you with the shopping, while I stay and clean the house.}}
14
00:00:59,150 –> 00:01:03,055

18
00:01:15,434 –> 00:01:16,914
Filho: Sim, já tratei disso.
{{Son: Yes, I already took care of that.}}
19
00:01:17,420 –> 00:01:22,299
Mãe: Mas puseste as músicas que nós gostamos, ou aquelas que tu gostas?
{{Mother: But have you put in the songs that we like, or those that you like?}}
20
00:01:22,941 –> 00:01:25,909

Olá. Podem explicar o que é que significa a expressão, ja não está cá quem falou? Obrigado.
Olá. Significa que retiras o que dizes (you take back your words) 🙂
I was wondering why the raisins (passas) were so important. Today I learnt: “A common tradition is to eat 12 raisins at midnight – one for each of the the 12 clock strikes.” Thank you Practice Portuguese for educating me on the Portuguese New Year’s Eve traditions here https://www.practiceportuguese.com/learning-notes/new-years-eve-traditions-in-portugal/
