  • I have question regarding translation of adjective ‘menor’ in vocabulary, shouldn’t it be translated ‘less’, or, if it is indeed ‘least’, then shouldn’t it be ‘o menor’ ?

    • Olá. In this case, the word was translated in the context in which it appeared on the shorty (the dialogue has “o menor”). But it is true that the word alone would translate to ‘less’ rather than ‘least’. The list was updated to cover both possibilities – thanks!

  • Olá. Acho que há um erro no texto na linha de 30 segundos. Não deve ser “continua” em vez de “continuam”, porque ele fala sobre um equipo (singular) e não acerca as pessoas (plural)? Obrigada pela as suas atenção:-)

    • Olá! Digamos que é um “erro”, com aspas 🙂 No fundo, há uma mudança implícita de sujeito entre a primeira oração (clause, em inglês) e a segunda. Isto é muito comum na fala informal, que é o que este diálogo representa.

  • Is there an way to know when to use que or do que when meaning “than”
It seems from the unit that when we talk about nouns and numbers we can use “que” but in other cases such as A mobília é mais pequena do que o esperado e o aeroporto é mais pequena do que pensava . Here the “than” refers to a an adjective and imperfect verb.
Is there any general rule ?
