  • 00:00:07Óscar: Pois é. É também o lugar mais barato para comprar mobília para a nossa casa. Óscar: Yeah it is. It's also the cheapest place to buy furniture for our house.
  • 00:00:13Mauro: Do que é que precisamos? Mauro: What do we need?
  • 00:00:15Óscar: Em primeiro lugar, de uma cama para o quarto. Óscar: First of all, a bed for the bedroom.

  • 00:00:21Óscar: Claro, ou achas que vamos os dois dormir numa cama de solteiro? Óscar: Of course, or do you think we're going to both sleep in a single bed?

  • Hi,
I was wondering why it’s “se calhar é melhor pôr” rather than the personal infinitive which I think would be “pormos”?
I have a terrible time with the personal infinitive. And also with the subjunctive! It makes me scared to speak!
    Thank you for your help
    Debbie

    • Olá, Debbie. We often use the personal and impersonal infinitive interchangeably-ish – after all, they’re two variations of the same thing. The personal infinitive may be specifically required in cases where you are dealing with different subjects across sentences/clauses and it’s important to differentiate between them, but that’s not the case here, where the only subject (“we”) is clear in context. By the way, don’t be afraid to speak! Definitely allow yourself to make mistakes and to let people correct them (if they’re willing to) – it’s how we learn 🙂

  • Hi, I have some question about ” não me incomoda”.
It means ” both options also is ok for me”??

    • It means “It doesn’t bother me” or “I don’t mind”, as in he doesn’t have any problem sleeping in a single bed.
