  • Poderia ser melhor! É quase insuportável ouvir a voz da criança falsa. Eu realmente acho que você deveria se dar ao trabalho de encontrar o filho de alguém para falar o papel???

  • Discordo da Betsy, acho a voz do Rui muito divertida de ouvir e fácil de compreender! Obrigado por fazer com que os shortinhos venham com tanta frequência

  • Concordo contigo. Acho a voz do Rui bem. Em qualquer caso, é apenas um diálogo para praticar a escuta a um nível inicial.

  • Much prefer Rui than a fake or real child.. Is this also an exercise in using the future conjunctive? I got a bit baffled by the verb endings at this stage of my learning. Feel I need help with this.

    • Olá, Jo. There’s only one instance of the future conjunctive here, «Se eu comer tudo, deixas-me ir brincar para o quarto?». The main focus of this shorty is the imperative, though.

  • Thanks Eduardo. I was thinking that 5 of the verbs: levantares, terminares, cresceres, ficares as well as comer were future conjunctive. And 5: Para (de reclamar), come, olha, vai and diz were imperative. If not future conjunctive, what tense are they please?

    • Because those verbs are regular, the conjugations for the personal infinitive and future subjunctive are identical. This makes it harder to distinguish them, but we know that the future subjunctive references the future / is used in conditional statements and is preceded by the conjunctions se and quando), which is not the case here. Another way to check is to replace the verb with an irregular one (like fazer, which has different conjugations for both tenses). For example, «E também não pediste licença para fazeres (algo)» (infinitive) would be correct but «E também não pediste licença para fizeres (algo)» (future subjunctive) would be wrong.
