Não entendo o uso da palavra “não” nesta frase. Você não pode dizer isso: “Foi por pouco que perdemos o comboio para o Alentejo!” ?
Olá. Talvez ajude se inverteres a ordem da frase: “Não perdemos o comboio para o Alentejo por pouco”. Podemos traduzi-la como “We didn’t miss the train by a short margin”. Então, a palavra “não” é importante aqui. Sem o “não”, o sentido seria o oposto.

I’m finding this useful. I do nt catch every word, but I get the drift of the conversation. As I play it over, I catch more words. It’s spoken very well. Most people don’t speak this well.
