como também a época festiva e as suas tradições.
{{but also the holiday season and its traditions.}}

Voz-off da intermissão: A seguir, o nosso segmento desportivo!
{{Intermission voiceover: Next up, our sports segment!}}
Adoro estes episódios secretos! Quero acabar muito mais Units para que eu possa ver, e desbloquear, mais diálogos como este. 🙂
This guy has the sexiest voice?!?! Can I say that? I wanna hear him tell me everything in Portuguese
Haha I’ll be sure to pass that along to Joseph (“Fernando”) 😉 He’ll be thrilled!
Rui has a sexy voice too. Perhaps it is just Portuguese spoken clearly. If everyone spoke like these two, life would be so much nicer.
This is a fantastic unit, full of helpful vocabulary, and great information on the traditions at Christmas and the New Year in Portugal. The TV report was fun, I was thrilled to understand most of it, without reading the transcription. This is a first, as I usually have to rely on the transcription and the translation.
Thank you again for a brilliant website
Laura Parsons
Thank you so much, Laura (and congratulations on your progress). It’s lovely to read that 🙂
Very good website with a nice approach to teach a difficult language. I did Duolingo for a year before realising that it is “a different language”…. Now I start to understand more of what Portuguese people say. Thank you. The regular conversations are a must to improve understanding.
A great piece .was able to get almost everything by listening!! Hurray!!!
Thank you so much !
I enjoyed this exercise and could understand much of what was being said! (for a change!!)
Is it Joseph Lambert doing the voice work? He does a good job in the forum and comments sections answering everyone’s questions – I didn’t know he was so multi-talented
I know, right? He’s a true Renaissance man. Yes, Joseph does the voice of Fernando in this one.
Just wanted to thank you – on behalf of the Jews amongst us – for the references to Hanukah and the additional lesson focused on Hanukah. I now have the vocabulary to explain the holiday better to my friends in Portugal!
Thanks Jay! Let us know if there are any other particular phrases that would be useful and we can try to add a few more! 🙂
Loved this festive inspired unit! So positive and very relevant now. Thank you 🙂
Muito bom. Eu percebi sem ler e acho que isso esteve bom. Obrigada
