This receipe sounds delicious! What is green wine though? ‘ Vinho verde’
Vinho verde refers to wine produced in a particular region in the north of Portugal, so you won’t see it anywhere else. It’s made without much aging and has a very fresh, crisp taste with lots of acidity. It’s not technically a sparkling wine, but does have a bit of effervescence.
That sounds rather good. I’m looking forward to the day I can get to Portugal and try it for myself. Thank you for the prompt reply!
I’ve been seeing it more and more in the U.S. in recent years. Trader Joe’s often has some. Vinho Verde is such a great drink in warm weather!
