    • Good question! The first one is an imperative (Vai arranjar-te. – Get yourself ready.) but the second one is the presente do indicativo (Vais arranjar-te – You are going to get yourself ready…)

      • Olá, no texto o Flávio disse o seguinte: “Vá, anda… Vai arranjar-te”.
Qual é a diferença entre Vá e Vai neste frase? Sāo ambos o imperativo?
        Muito obrigado
        Kieran

  • I get the conjugation but really need more practice with this in order to get my head around it! Is there a (free) site where I could do some more exercises?

    • I don’t know of any free sites, but since you’re already a Practice Portuguese member, you can practice in our Verbs section 😉

This will let you access exercises for imperfeito do conjuntivo for hundreds of Portuguese verbs.

There is also a unit for this tense (if you didn’t do this already): Imperfect Subjunctive

      • Hi. It’s precisely because I’ve used up all the resources for this particular tense on PP that I’m looking for more elsewhere. 😉

        • Ah okay, you’ve been busy! 😁 Well I’m sorry I don’t know of another place to practice, but maybe another member will. Another idea is to add some phrases with this tense to your Smart Review, and then you can review them over and over. You can also “suggest a phrase” from the translator tool, and someone from our team can work on adding more.
