Another excellent shortie! This is right in line with what I am doing in Portuguese class later today – os parentes.
A good piece for learning family relationships and introductions.
very good. relatively simple dialogue to understand
Such great learning tool for Portuguese. I have lessons face to face during term time and this is great for revision and to keep going over the holidays! Thank you
The sentence beginning “o Pedro ja lhe explica….” is unclear given the context. Pedro who is just now being introduced to the family at lunchtime could not have already explained to the grandfather at dinner (the previous evening??) what his job entailed.
Thanks for catching that! There was an error in the translation — it has been fixed now. Explica is in the present tense and she is saying that Pedro will explain it to the grandfather at dinner. However, there is still a small problem because she should have said lunch/almoço, not dinner, unless they are also going to have dinner together later… Sorry for the confusion!
Thanks for including step parents/children and half-siblings.
