  • What is the difference between saying “entendi”, which seems mostly used here, and “percebi”? My vizinha told me hat percebi is more polite, and among Portuguese people, I seem to hear that more often (I also hear entendi a lot, but it may be Brasilian biased… 🙂
    Also, difference between endereço and morada?

    • ‘Entendi’ and ‘percebi’ are synoyms 🙂 They’re generally interchangeable and can both be used at any level of formality. Between ‘endereço’ and ‘morada’, strictly speaking, ‘endereço’ is the most appropriate word to refer to any address (including, for example, email addresses), while ‘morada’ would refer more specifically to your home, or home address. In practice, they’re both often used interchangeably in Portugal.
