Portugal Hates Boring Sidewalks!

If you’ve been to Portugal, you’ve probably noticed the artwork covering the sidewalks. Have you ever stopped to wonder how it’s done? Now’s your chance to find out! Rui & Joel meet up with Jesse, a Practice Portuguese member and apprentice at the Escola de Calceteiros, as well as Nuno, a teacher at the school who is well-versed in the tradition and craft of Portuguese cobblestone paving. (Special thanks to Nuno, a Escola de Calceteiros and Jesse for their generosity in putting this video together!)

    • I think this is great –

A lesson about something really culturally important, with legitimate conversations and language, with subtitles in Portuguese.

Learning with a purpose! Love it

Thank you so much for the effort.

    • I loved this. A great way to practice listening to Portuguese. So interesting and really helpful to have the Portuguese sub titles to confirm or clarify what I thought I was hearing! Thank you – will try more of these.
