It’s been an invaluable tool for me. Not only has it helped me gain confidence in my Portuguese speaking and writing, but it also played a big part in something I’m really excited about: I’m going to be teaching Portuguese at my school next year! Although I grew up in a Portuguese household and communicate easily with people in my local community, I hadn’t written in Portuguese in years. To help me prepare for the certification test, I turned to Practice Portuguese, especially to brush up on verb conjugations across all tenses. I also enjoyed listening to the short stories and podcasts-these really helped me expand my vocabulary. By the time I got to the writing section of the test, I felt so much more confident with my word choices and tenses (those preterit and imperfect ones were tricky, but Practice Portuguese made it click!). Long story short, thanks to your platform and a lot of studying, I passed…! Your platform has truly made a huge difference in my journey.

When I was there last year, I was frustrated that I couldn’t speak Portuguese. I thought, I don’t have space to learn! But I thought – just spend the three months before April studying with Practice Portuguese. I have been doing that and am making what I hope is good progress. I just wanted to drop you all a note and congratulate you on a great program, on the tremendous website / app / and content. I was a University Professor for 34 years – and my ‘minor’ on my PhD was in Curriculum Design … I’ve spent most of my adult life teaching and trying to convey thoughts and content to adults, and you guys blow it out of the water!
