I will be traveling to Lisbon this year and am quickly getting immersed in Português with this app. My online tutor was amazed at how much i progressed with only a few weeks using the app. I can actually have a short conversation!
The pronunciation is so clear and easy to follow, the videos connnect me with real faces, and the exercises are simple, fun, and motivating.
Thank you for creating such a helpful and encouraging learning tool. It has made a huge difference in my confidence and progress.

This app is exactly what I needed with learning the structure of the Portuguese language, understanding the pronunciation and being able to listen to the words being spoken slowly. I actually feel that it was created for me… hahaha! And to have Joel as a native English speaker, you have the insights of the quirks and subtleties that native speakers just take for granted. And Rui, your pronunciation and patience is top notch.

It’s been an invaluable tool for me. Not only has it helped me gain confidence in my Portuguese speaking and writing, but it also played a big part in something I’m really excited about: I’m going to be teaching Portuguese at my school next year! Although I grew up in a Portuguese household and communicate easily with people in my local community, I hadn’t written in Portuguese in years. To help me prepare for the certification test, I turned to Practice Portuguese, especially to brush up on verb conjugations across all tenses. I also enjoyed listening to the short stories and podcasts-these really helped me expand my vocabulary. By the time I got to the writing section of the test, I felt so much more confident with my word choices and tenses (those preterit and imperfect ones were tricky, but Practice Portuguese made it click!). Long story short, thanks to your platform and a lot of studying, I passed…! Your platform has truly made a huge difference in my journey.

I have been trying to learn European Portuguese for probably 3 years now but the first year was slow moving. I’ve tried a handful of other European Portuguese classes/academies but Practice Portuguese makes learning Portuguese so much easier than the other ones out there. I love all the different ways to learn that you guys offer at Practice Portuguese. I love having the two perspectives as well. It has made a tremendous difference. My family and I have recently moved to Portugal…and have invested much time in our Portuguese learning. We subscribed to a popular online/app platform that was helpful. In addition, we are currently taking in person Portuguese classes here in town. However for me, this has been the most comprehensive learning platform I’ve used. The sequential way in which you have structured the lessons along with the multiple modalities of practice reinforces the material in a way that frankly, I have not gotten from the other methods. I am looking forward to my increased progress and just wanted to say thank you again. You all have struck Portuguese gold 🙂

I have tried a couple of other online sites for learning Portuguese, but even if those sites are quite acceptable and useful, I feel they don’t even come close to how you have structured your learning! The combination of short lessons, informative texts, exercises (written, audio and speech) and the variety and width of the material really force a students brain to practice in a way where the knowledge really sticks in a far more effective way!
You have also added a nice touch with the “gamification” of the learning process, which makes it fun to progress and improve.
I simply felt I could not sit in silence and NOT give you this feedback. You really deserve it.
In my eyes you are REALLY doing your stuff really, really well! Keep up the amazing job!
